About Igal

I’m an SEO and Growth consultant and the co-founder of a new firm that I'm now building. Since I was a kid, I’ve been passionate about the web, the online user behavior, and the technology behind it.

For the past 13 years, I’ve been running the SEO and Growth department at Investing.com. I joined as 1st employee, and led its growth until top 200 domains globally, mainly through international SEO.

My Story

My online journey began at the age of 14 back in 1999, when my musician dad sent me to an after-school class to learn how to code, and I spent the next 4 years building and promoting simple sites. At 18, I started an Israeli online community for musicians which quickly became the biggest one for musicians in Hebrew, and was my perfect transition from music to the web.

I joined Investing.com as its first employee in 2007, only shortly after my release from the military, and I led its SEO and Growth department until mid-2020.

At Investing, I’m most proud of the fact that we’ve built an amazing multilingual product, and were able to bring it from zero to over 200M monthly visits with SEO and word-of-mouth buzz. With no advertising, nor VC funding.

I’m a big fan of eCommerce, and other inventory-based SEO sites, and love thinking about how to automate pages, and provide true value to users with site features, rather than with just content. I truly believe that SEO is the new Web Product.

Another expertise I'm proud of is International SEO which is most definitely not about translating pages. To be truly global, you need to be truly local everywhere you go. Then, utilize SEO's best practices, to help Google help you.

Today, I'm consulting to a few companies on SEO, while building my own firm, and staying Investing.com's SEO advisor.
